What To Do In Sydney During The Winter
As the months of June, July and August approach, Sydney’s is starting to transition into it’s winter months. These are Sydney’s coolest months and average temperatures drop to around 9 to 17 degrees. In June, Sydney will generally see it’s highest amount of rainfall with the average of 132 mm whereas July is the coldest and average daytime temperatures are around 13 degrees.
If you prefer the cold to the heat then this is the best time to visit Sydney. The weather isn’t really harsh and overall it is generally very pleasant, but it is the perfect time to tour the city on foot. Plus, the ski slopes are not too far away.
Go & Visit Sydney’s Museums
If you don’t like the cold and want to be inside then Sydney has plenty of museums you can go and visit. Whether you are travelling with your family, group or planning a school trip, learning about the past and seeing historical artifacts I a great way to beat the cold.

Love to shop? Sydney is a great place to venture out and do some shopping. With plenty of retail shops around selling all international labels and innovative designers there is a shop for everyone's tastes. The Queen Victoria Building defines shopping elegance with 3 levels with are devoted to fashion, gifts and jewellery.
Or, head over to the Strand Arcade where you will find shoemakers, hatters, dressmakers, cafes, restaurants and much more.
Also take a stroll through to Pitt Street Mall and Westfield Sydney which is a fantastic complex with over 250 enticing stores within.
Watch A Movie
There is nothing better than watching the latest blockbuster movie from the big screen. Sydney has a few venues that offer you the opportunity to grab a bucket of popcorn, a large Coca-Cola and to sit back in a comfy armchair and watch the latest movie.
